Kelowna Florist Helps You Get A Handle on Your Bridal Bouquet

Inspiration. Without it, designing your wedding bouquet is impossible. In Kelowna, florists are moving into wedding season. If you need to be inspired as you plan the flowers for your wedding, we invite you to come into our flower shop in Kelowna.

Kelowna FlowerScene handles wedding consultations right in our store. This allows us to serve brides-to-be with a variety of tools and to help them nail down exactly what they want. Even if they don’t start out with any ideas!

One of the first things we consider with you is how you plan to hold your wedding bouquet. You want it to be comfortable in your hands and work well with your dress. There are several options to choose from.

1.  Hand-tied: We find that in Kelowna, brides opt most often for a hand-tied bouquet. Hand-tied flowers have the most natural look, usually with the stems exposed beneath where the flowers are held.

2.  Cascading: A cascading bouquet trails from the hands into a V shape at the front. The length can vary based on preferences and flower style chosen. They can even go all the way to the floor!

3.  Round: Round bouquets are the most classical and traditional bridal bouquet. Small flowers are usually used; either with or without greenery; and flowers can be one style or a mix of flowers and colors.

4.  Presentation: A presentation bouquet is made of long-stemmed flowers that are held in the crook of the bride’s arm.

Often, the flowers chosen will dictate the style of bouquet. The type of dress that the bride has selected can also contribute to the bouquet-style decision.

When we consult with brides for Kelowna weddings, we have dozens of books that display the ways different dress styles look and work with different bouquet types. This helps give our brides the inspiration they need to design the perfect bouquet. Contact us today to set-up your free consultation. We also handle all bridal party bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, corsages, and flower gifts.
